An update to Kindle for Android has just been rolled out by Amazon. This offers application more helpful and will raise the bar of productivity.

This application make android users read the Kindle books on any smartphone which is powered by android. This is the only application in which user can add notes in any of the android based reading apps.

Major upgraded features are:

  • One can search within the book by typing or speaking any word or phrase.
  • One can add, edit and delete the notes using it and they will be automatically synchronized between devices.
  • One can search words in Wikipedia by selecting text.
  • One can view additional book details from Shelfari (books-focused social networking site) description of the book, synopsis, summary, cast of characters will be available for the users from Shelfari.
  • One can change the orientation lock according to their taste for easy reading like landscape or portrait mode.
