Opera-100 Million Users and a Version iPad Scheduled for MWC 2011

Opera Software announced yesterday that she counted 105 million users of both versions for mobile phones and smartphones from their browser. It should also make an appearance on iPad at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.

Opera is currently the number one mobile browsers (21% market share, StatCounter source) and the Norwegian firm has reported to have reached 105 million users with 90.4 million people who surf with Opera Mini (available in versions Android , BlackBerry, iPhone , Mobile Java, S60, Windows Mobile) and 15 million Opera Mobile ( versions Android , Maemo, S60, Windows Mobile). Opera Software said that this represents a total of 52 billion pages served per month.


The editor took the opportunity to announce that all versions of Opera Mini and Opera Mobile will get an update this year and editions iPad and other tablets (presumably Android) were in pipes .
