Although Nokia has decided to focus overwhelmingly on Windows Phone, with the help of Accenture Development Symbian will not stop in Belle. Indeed, as we reported on other occasions, Nokia will release (apparently) two other versions of Symbian: Carla and Donna.
Carla will surely come on S ^ 3 devices of the second generation (ie those with processor1Ghz), while the issue remains in doubt for all other Symbian with a 680MHz processor.
Today, after seeing the web of the first test of the new browser by Carla on Symbian, an anonymous source (but do not know how trustworthy) has suggested some interesting information onSymbian Nokia Carla:
- The second generation of smartphones S ^ 3 (603.700 and 701) will come on the market with pre-installed Symbian Carla from Q3 of 2012
- The first generation of smartphones S ^ 3 (N8, C7, E7, X7, E6 and C6-01) will come on the market with pre-installed Symbian Carla from Q4 of 2012
- Upgrading to Carla for the first generation of S ^ 3 will not change with respect to what we see with 603.700 and 701, but fortunately there will be bugfixes, new widgets (resizable?) And the new Browser
The successor to the Nokia N8 will also be launched with Java preinstalled Carla.
We hope to have some official status in the days of the Mobile World Congress
